1. So far, the entire series has sparked two movies, The Maze Runner, and The Scorch Trials.

2. The author of the series, James Dashner, has written 21 books in all. Four in which are in The Maze Runner series.

3. The flare, mentioned multiple times, is a deadly disease that eats away at your body and brain. It is manmade and was released in the time of the sun flares because of a testing incident. As one goes on in the stages, their flesh becomes darker and veins are highlighted, madness consumes their mind, and the host body is left decrepit and mangled beyond reason.

4. There are only few people in their world that are immune to this disease and they are considered munies. They are hated because of their special abilities.

5. In 2016, James Dashner will be releasing a new prequel-sequel to this series called The Fever Code.

6. A prequel-sequel is a book/game/movie that is released in a later time in the chronological order, but the content is an insight to a previous event in the actual timeline.

7.The Maze trials were a series of tests based in a facility in the W.I.C.K.E.D headquarters. The environment was basically a large field with a forest and builings built be the characters. But, in the outer ring, there are large walls encasing the "glade". Beyond the large walls, there is a vast maze guarded by a mechanical door that closes avery day at two and opens in the morning. The maze changes in a series of sections which rotate throughout a week. This picture encapsulates whet the maze was like in a smallscale structure.

8. In the maze trials, there were two groups. In group A, there were all boys with one girls, being Teresa, and in group B, there were all girls with one boy, being Aris.

9. W.I.C.K.E.D was a worldwide company formed by international government after a natural disaster. The natural disaster, per se, were sun flares. Radioactive beams of light had hit the Earth to cause a massive distress. But W.I.C.K.E.D was created for two things, power and propaganda. They had said that their one mission was to create a cure for the flare, but they had only let the world drive itself into the ground running on all cylinders. Also, the flare disease was hugely spread by the evil company by "accident".

10. The Scorch was originally a metropolitan city in the U.S, but soon after became a rotting ghetto after the sun flares cam into direct contact to the 100-mile radius area, outside and in. Now, the inhabitants are mainly flare victims and lost travelers in hopes of finding civilation. Most of the buildings have fallen in a burning mess or surrendured to infestation of the local plant/animal life.
